Biography

Ben began his foray into visionary leadership when he served as Student Union President at Laurentian University, where he studied Economics and Political Science. He then followed his love of travel and culture to Southern France, where he pursued  Communication at the University of Nice. An unstoppable creative force, Ben has held a variety of senior positions with marketing and fundraising firms across Canada, beginning with Delta Advertising and Design in 1988. Since then he has been a key leader with Fedeli HDL Advertising, Benjamin James Marketing Communications, Parallel Communications, Zero Gravity, and Help On Board Fundraising Solutions. Ben launched The Ben Farella Group in 2009, a new company dedicated to solving the problems of businesses and organizations through insight, strategy, and creativity. A philanthropist and community organizer at heart, Ben has sat on a variety of industry-related boards and commissions. His most recent passion, the Students On Ice Foundation, brings high school students from around the world to the Antarctic and the Arctic to study the effects of climate change on our environment. Ben’s energy, passion, and flair make him a sought-out guest speaker at a number of events and functions across Canada, engaging audiences on topics such as Eco-Communications, The Changing Media Landscape, and Life Philosophy. As President of The Ben Farella Group, Ben plays a role in all major projects. Ben’s years of experience allow him to guide and support strategic and creative processes to find innovative solutions that fit with client-partners’ industry, values, and brand. He continues his search for new and exciting opportunities, both for himself and for client-partners. Ben’s personal philosophy finds balance between work, family, and play as he raises his children and follows his passion for the arts as an actor in local theatre productions.
